The end result makes the perfect resist material that holds up to multiple dye baths and can easily be washed out with water and hand washing. The pigments used to create the dye is derived from local plants. The family where I sourced this scarf has been passing on this tradition of natural dying for multiple generations. They use a variety of beautiful base fabrics including cotton and silk.
