I discovered these gorgeous bags through a Fair Trade organization. Completely hand embroidered, made from vintage Guatemalan Huipil, which is a traditional indigenous dress for women who come from communities that are descendants of the ancient Maya. The vibrant patterns and colors represent the individuality of the woman who wore the garment.  The weave and design of her Huipil can identify her individual personality and the village she is from, as well as her marital and social status. 

This roomy & artistic bag is perfect for traveling, stashing creative supplies or makeup, or can be used as a gorgeous, clutch for evenings out. It features a zipper closure with fabric pull, and has a full cotton lining.
