There are so many great options with this coat! The Raincoat exterior is made using my 58” wide mid-weight Laminated fabric with the "Sandlewood" print from my "Love" collection.
You can also make a light weight Jacket by using 54" wide Home Dec for the exterior. My "Sandlewood" print is also available in the Home Dec fabric.
For the Lining use either 44” wide quilting weight or 54” mid-weight Home Dec fabric.
If you're working with laminated fabric, be sure to check out my "Laminated Fabric Tips" on my website before you start your coat. These tips will really come in handy.
This Coat was designed as a fitted garment so you can wear light weight clothing underneath. If you'll be wearing heavier layers you'll want to make the next larger size.
To get started, check the charts below to determine which size and length coat you’ll be making.
Use the Body Measurement Chart to determine your size. First take a measuring tape and measure around the fullest part of your bust, waist and hips. Your bust measurement will dictate your size. If your measurements fall between sizes, choose the larger of the two sizes.
